Isabel LaRosa: supporting Bea Miller

El Rey Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)
12/16/23

On December 16th, Isabel LaRosa kicked off a packed night at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California supporting Bea Miller. LaRosa, who got her start with her viral hit “Haunted,” is slowly but surely building a fanbase of her own with 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone.

As fans filed into the venue to see Bea Miller, they were in for a treat, as the lights dimmed as the emerging artist took the stage. A few moments later, a silhouette appeared of someone wearing a motorcycle helmet. After the first few notes of “Haunted,” Isabel LaRosa removed her helmet, revealing herself in a latex bodysuit. Her brother, Thomas LaRosa, joined her, shredding on the electric guitar as he walked back and forth across the stage. Her setlist included more of her popular songs such as “Therapy,” “older,” and “eyes don’t lie.” She also played a cover of Katy Perry’s iconic hit, “I Kissed a Girl,” as she strutted across the stage. Much to the delight of the audience, LaRosa ended her set with her megahit, “i’m yours.”

Her unique vocal tone and songwriting ability make her sound unmistakable and instantly recognizable. This translates well into her visuals as well, where her personal style is implemented throughout. The dark, moody atmosphere matching the feeling of her lyrics, as well as her remarkable stage presence made LaRosa’s set one of the best to end the year with.
