Angel Du$t: BRAND NEW SOUL

123 Pleasant Street (Morgantown, WV)
12/07/23

Nearing the end of their world tour, hardcore band Angel Du$t performed in Morgantown, West Virginia at 123 Pleasant Street. The band’s 6th full-length studio album, BRAND NEW SOUL, was released September 8th of this year. A pillar in the hardcore-punk scene, any Angel Du$t song is added onto playlists and loved with no hesitation. BRAND NEW SOUL featured more experimental elements, with many of the songs still being AD’s classic sound.

Supporting the band is acoustic-rock artist Steve Marino, who also performs in Angel Du$t, performing his solo album, Too Late To Start Again, followed by alt-rock band Dazy and hardcore band Candy. Each band brings a different genre to the lineup, yet still fitting into the show perfectly. Angel Du$t’s set features a projector facing the stage with trippy visuals, as the band performs through their aggressive music catalog. Kicking off the show with a fan favorite from 2016’s Rock the Fuck on Forever, “Toxic Boombox,” immediately got the crowd moving throughout the entire set. The band also performed newer songs from BRAND NEW SOUL, along with older songs like “Set Me Up” and “Stepping Stone” from their debut album, A.D. Be sure to keep an eye out on Angel Du$t’s tour dates as they’re already popping up on the biggest hardcore festivals across the world for 2024!
