Fit For A King: Metalcore Dropouts, 2nd Semester

The National (Richmond, VA)
01/31/2024

Metal band Fit For A King headlined The National in Richmond, Virginia, on the second semester of the “Metalcore Dropouts” tour. With such a successful run on the initial leg of the tour, Fit For A King, The Devil Wears Prada, and Counterparts took to the road to perform even more sold-out shows around North America. Rising band AVOID opened for the trio.

In 2022, Fit For A King released their 7th full-length album, The Hell We Create. The band kicked off the show with a handful of songs from the album, including “End (The Other Side)” and “Falling Through the Sky.” FFAK has kept a loyal fan base throughout the years, and it certainly shows in their live performances. The crowd moves non-stop as lead vocalist Ryan Kirby runs around the stage and bassist Ryan O’Leary jumps every chance he gets.

Two weeks prior to the show, the band released their first single since 2022, “Keeping Secrets.” The crowd knew and clearly loved the song already, not missing a word as they sang along with the band. Hopefully the new single means even more music ahead! Make sure you’re keeping up with Fit For A King as they close out the second leg of the “Metalcore Dropouts” tour to see what they’re up to next.
