AVOID: Metalcore Dropouts, 2nd Semester

Rising metalcore band AVOID opened the second semester of the “Metalcore Dropouts” tour, tonight being a packed crowd at The National in Richmond, Virginia. AVOID supports Fit For A King and The Devil Wears Prada on this co-headlining run, alongside Counterparts.

The band had high energy the second they hit the stage, getting the excited crowd moving. They kicked off the show with songs from their 2022 full-length album, Cult Mentality, including “Cowabunga” which lead singer Benny Scholl crowd-surfed during. The new album, released on Thriller Records, brought a new wave of fans and attention to the band. They’re winning over sold-out crowds all over North America right now, and will be doing so again this spring supporting Dayseeker, Polaris, and Rain City Drive.
