Trousdale: Out Of My Mind

El Rey Theater (Los Angeles, CA)
03/02/24

On March 2nd, Trousdale performed at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Georgia Greene, Quinn D’Andrea, and Lauren Jones, who make up the L.A.-based group, first met while studying in USC’s prestigious music program. As a female band, they strive to make songs for women about self-acceptance and empowerment. Inspired by the likes of Crosby, Stills and Nash, HAIM, and Kacey Musgraves, Trousdale brings much needed representation to a heavily male-dominated industry.

Kicking off the night was opening act Abbey Cone, whose honest and relatable lyrics captivated the audience’s attention. Once Trousdale took to the stage, the crowd erupted with cheers of support. They played several songs from their debut album, Out Of My Mind, including “Bad Blood,” and “Point Your Finger,” with a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” before closing with their album’s title track. Trousdale’s timeless, harmonious sound mixed with empowering lyrics makes this band a must see.
