The Driver Era: East Coast Tour

GLC Live at 20 Monroe (Grand Rapids, MI)
04/08/2024

In 2018, the band known as R5 seemingly disappeared from social media and in its place appeared The Driver Era – a duo made up of former R5 members and brothers, Ross and Rocky Lynch. Even with the years lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Driver Era (often shortened to TDE) have continued to grow their fanbase – new and old – as they shared their new project with the world.

Supported by VALÉ, a Columbian singer-songwriter, TDE sold out Grand Rapids’ GLC Live at 20 Monroe venue with ease. Last minute tickets were released the day of the show and the scramble for fans to secure their seats was intense. With a line wrapped around the building, the energy in the room was top notch from the moment doors opened. Excitement and amazement was clearly visible amongst concert-goers, possibly lingering from the day’s solar eclipse where in Grand Rapids coverage was around 93% and only exacerbated as showtime ticked closer.

Ross Lynch held his position at the center of the stage and wholly commanded the energy of the audience. Backed on guitar and vocals by Rocky Lynch, the duo took time between songs to share stories of tour, their life, and had some fun interactions with the crowd. The GLC Live at 20 Monroe venue was a perfect space for these brothers as their energetic guitar and catchy vocals bounced off the walls.

The Driver Era is already an incredible group to jam out to on streaming platforms, but when you add their sexually charged behaviors and irresistible stage presence, the experience is undeniably a must see. So long are the days bracketed by childhood network stations and family friendly characters, The Driver Era is ready to show off everything they are made of.

The Driver Era will continue to tour along the East Coast through May before stopping in Canada and Mexico. They’ll also be making appearances at Bonnaroo in June and Sudden Little Thrills in September with many more show announcements on the horizon.
