Stacey Ryan, overnight sonic extraordinaire turned touring sensation, has quite a way with turning heartbreak woes into folk and soulful filled sing-along songs that just about everyone can relate to. The multi-instrumental talented, 23-year-old singer-songwriter hails from Montreal, Canada, beginning her career in the public eye after creating TikToks of her single, “Don’t Text Me When You’re Drunk.” After obtaining viral stardom literally overnight, Ryan launched an open verse challenge on TikTok, where users and viewers were encouraged to duet her and finish the lyrics to a song she hadn’t quite finished, leading to late night host Jimmy Fallon joining in on the fun during a sketch on The Tonight Show. Ryan didn’t stop there – her streak continued as she released her latest single, “Fall In Love Alone,” which, to no surprise, was a viral hit and became even more popular than her previous release. The sound has been used in over 1.2 million videos on TikTok and the number is only on the up and up, earning her the attention of Island Records.

No rising singer-songwriter has been dropping viral hit after hit quite like her. In a matter of months, Ryan signed a record deal and released the final version of “Don’t Text Me When You’re Drunk” featuring Zai1k, which has garnered over 25 million streams, putting Stacey Ryan to the forefront of the year’s most viral TikTok trend. She’s a writer we can all relate to, crafting melodies of interpersonal experiences of all too familiar feeling break-up stories, striking a nerve in the heart of hearts about the pain we’ve all related to too well. They’re molded together with vivacious soul-pop, bright percussion, and spellbinding piano work that tie a pretty bow around her otherwise cutthroat lyrical intent to not compromise what she deserves. You can’t pinpoint her sound exactly, but that’s what makes her music so enticing and engaging. She’s breezy and classic, with a twist of folk flair and cheerful harmonies. Ryan quickly built on the drive of “Don’t Text Me When You’re Drunk” with a stream of successful releases, including “Deep End” and three versions of her well loved “Fall In Love Alone.” Stacey also found herself opening for Lawrence, playing at some big name festivals, supporting Joshua Bassett, and we just caught her as the opening artist for Jake Wesley Rogers’ North American Tour. With only 3 singles, yet 60 million streams collectively, Stacey is certainly on the road to big and bright things.
