Ending with a bang, Sarah Kinsley sold out two back-to-back nights at the Music Hall of Williamsburg to close out her Fall 2023 headlining tour. Sarah first emerged as an artist while studying music theory at Columbia University, and when “The King” went viral on TikTok in 2021, she was empowered to create a full E.P. Since then, two more have come. With orchestral influence and the magic of her own production, Sarah doesn’t just create alt-pop music, but art as well.
On stage, Sarah showcased not only her breathtakingly captivating vocals, but also her mastery of sound through piano, electric guitar, and live production skills. Holding the mic up, she recorded a note sung by the crowd with her synth and transformed it into the beat of her song “Over + Under,” performing over the freshly produced backing track. Engaging fans in her creative process in real-time was a truly unique and raw experience, one that few artists venture towards.
