Role Model

Tucker Pillsbury, known professionally as ROLE MODEL, closed the last leg of his world tour, “TouRX,” with a sold out show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA in early December. After playing more than 50 shows in 2022, at just 24 years old, RM is already on his way to becoming a mega star.

Pillsbury originally started his career as a rapper back in 2016, releasing several unofficial projects under various names over the years, ultimately sticking with ROLE MODEL. One of his first projects, an E.P. called Arizona in the Summer, was recorded in his bedroom closet and was even discovered by Mac Miller way before ROLE MODEL was known all over the world! He’s been steadily gaining a devoted fan base over the years and released his full-length album, Rx, earlier this year, and began taking the TouRX all around the world.

On the final show of his world tour, Tucker jumped onto stage starting with “if jesus saves, she’s my type,” and the crowd was louder than ever. The setlist was a mix of songs from Rx and older releases. The crowd remained invested the entire show, even during slower songs like “going out” and “that’s just how it goes.” They even all already knew his brand new song, “cross your mind,” by heart! Tucker had fun with his performance, even sneaking in a One Direction cover in the middle of his set!

2022 was the year of ROLE MODEL, and it’s clear that he has so much more in the works for the new year. We hope that 2023 is full of new music and the opportunities to see ROLE MODEL all over the world!
