Mitski: The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We

Shrine Auditorium (Los Angeles, CA)
03/30/24

On March 30th, Mitski took to the Shrine Auditorium stage in Los Angeles, California for a three-show run. The indie singer-songwriter is fresh off her release of her seventh studio album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We. As the opener, Julia Jacklin, finished her set, the auditorium quickly filled with fans, most of whom appeared to be students at USC.

At 9:05PM sharp when the lights began to dim, thousands of fans in attendance immediately took out their phones to capture the first few seconds of the show. Within the first few notes of “Everyone,” a silhouette of Mitski became visible through the curtain. She went on to perform songs from several of her projects, including “Bug Like An Angel,” “Geyser,” “Happy” and “My Love Mine All Mine,” before closing with “Washing Machine Heart.”
