Krooked Kings: All Out of Good Days

Krooked Kings’ All Out Of Good Days Tour made a stop in Phoenix last Thursday, with an exhilarating, high-energy performance at Valley Bar. Members Paul Colgan, Dave Macey, Matt Monosson, Quinn Casper, and lead singer Oli Martin all possess sheer talent – creating a unique sound and catchy, relatable songs surrounding topics like growing up, navigating relationships, and even just having a good time with friends. Their music is the kind you play on a roadtrip to nowhere, with the windows down and speakers blasting so loud the cars you pass can feel the bass.

After a lively set from opener, Mind’s Eye, the crowd at Valley Bar was warmed up (literally, sweating) and ready for Krooked Kings. They opened with their new, highly successful hit, “Sick of Being Young,” and followed with tracks like “Lying Through Their Teeth,” “Eggshells,” and my personal favorite, “’96 Subaru.” The band danced around on stage and performed with constant high energy for an hour-long set, leaving fans wanting more.

Krooked Kings is arguably one of the best up-and-coming indie-rock bands and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. They’ll be finishing their tour later this month, with final stops in Texas and Colorado. Mark your calendars, because Krooked Kings’ next album releases in early May, and you bet I will be seeing Krooked Kings live again
