Hotline TNT: supporting Wednesday

The Broadberry (Richmond, VA)
01/22/2024

Rising noise-rock band Hotline TNT performed a captivating set in Richmond, Virginia to a sold-out crowd. Supporting Wednesday on their “Rat Saw God” tour, the band surely won over everyone in the packed venue. The lead vocalist, Will Anderson, fronts the band and is joined on stage by 5 additional musicians.

Hotline TNT’s second full-length album, Cartwheel, was released at the beginning of November 2023 on Third Man Records. The band has always had such a unique sound with attention-grabbing lyrics and Cartwheel is no different. From performing sold-out venues filled with hundreds to thousands of people with Snail Mail and Wednesday, to small noisy hardcore shows, they can easily fit in on any bill and create a show of their own.

The band performed songs from their new album, including fan favorite “I Thought You’d Change” and a cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Quiet.” To close out the show, the band invited lead vocalist of Wednesday, Karly Hartzman, to perform “Had 2 Try” from Hotline TNT’s 2021 debut album, Nineteen In Love, at which point Karly began peeling oranges and throwing them into the crowd.

Hotline TNT is rapidly growing, even announcing headline tour dates the morning of the Richmond show and a Europe headlining tour shortly after. The band surely has a busy year ahead – you don’t want to miss it!
