Alex Warren: Summer 2023

Troubadour (West Hollywood, CA)
09/06/23

On September 6th, musician and social media superstar Alex Warren took to the Troubadour stage in West Hollywood, California as the second stop of his first ever headlining tour. After gaining a very large social media following by being involved with the Hype House, Warren went on to release his debut single in June 2021 and later signed a record deal with Atlantic Records in 2022. Excited fans arrived hours early in homemade merch, lining the streets and waiting patiently to get a quick glimpse of the star. Other social media celebrities were in attendance as well, including Benson Boone, Bryce Hall, EBEN, and more.

After support acts Gibby and Rowan Drake finished their sets, the lights dimmed and the band began to play. An excited but obviously nervous Warren appeared onstage dressed in a jumpsuit with “you’ll be alright kid” written on the back. For the first few songs, Alex paced across the stage as he sang, keeping a hand in his pocket and glancing back toward fellow bandmates. As the night went on, Warren’s confidence grew and he began interacting more with the crowd. Regardless of what song he sang, the audience completely ate up the rasp in his voice. After a few songs, one of the fans in the very front of the crowd handed Alex a present. Inside the bag was a framed piece of paper that fans had held up during “Chasing Shadows.” Fans had also gifted Alex his very own “Warreneers” jersey that matched the one several of them were wearing.

While taking a break between songs to look out into the crowd, he claimed he was surprised to see so many dudes in the audience. With no E.P. or album releases and only a few singles out, it became evident that mostly everyone in attendance knew all of his music, as they sang along for the whole night. The loudest song of the night was “One More I Love You,” where the crowd belted out the entire song. One of the memorable moments of the night was when Alex invited his friend Michael Sanzone onstage. What started as a happy birthday celebration turned into an impromptu duet between the two artists.

Alex’s music career is off to a blazing start, creating a community of passionate and compassionate fans that have his back no matter what.
