It’s August and you know what that means… School! I know that the idea of having to go back to school is the last thing anyone wants on their minds, but it’s something we all have to go through. Now, I don’t know about you, but the only thing that excites me about this point in time is back to school shopping. To help all of you out with this process, I thought I would bring you some organizational tips!

Tip #1: Notebooks

Having a notebook for each of your classes makes things a lot easier and reduces having an overflowed amount of papers in your binder. Labeling each one or color coordinating them to match the dividers in your binder is a big help as well. Also, if in the future you run out of space, you can easily buy another one!

Tip #2: Binders

A 2-3 inch binder is your best bet, it’s not too large, but you can still fit a lot in it. I would recommend keeping notebook paper, a pencil case, and dividers inside of it for all of your classes. The dividers will help organize all paperwork and homework from your classes, keeping them together so that you won’t have to worry about losing them.

Tip #3: Backpacks

Don’t choose a backpack that’s too big! I would recommend a Jansport backpack, they’re at a manageable size, typically come with two areas to store your belongings, and are easy to carry around. You can place all of your actual supplies such as notebooks, folders, and binders in the bigger area, and place anything extra like chap stick, gum, headphones, your phone charger, etc. in the smaller pocket.

Keeping these tips in mind and putting them to use will definitely help you stay organized. I hope they helped and that you all enjoy the 2016-2017 school year!
